Understanding the Test Results
The KnowYourDog Genetic & Breed Test results consist of a comprehensive report containing the following sections:
Health: Included in the Advanced version. Presents the list of diseases analysed by the test. If your dog is susceptible to the disease it will be indicated with “Variant present”, otherwise it will say “Variant absent”. A detailed analysis of the diseases that were marked as “Variant present” will then be displayed.
Traits: Included in both Starter and Advanced versions. This section shows a list of the physical traits analysed in the test. If your dog has the trait in its DNA it will be indicated with “Variant present”, otherwise it will say “Variant absent”. A detailed analysis of the traits that were marked as “Variant present” will then be displayed.
Breeds: Included in both Starter and Advanced versions. Here the report presents the list of breeds detected in the DNA of your canine friend, followed by a detailed explanation of the characteristics of each breed.

The Sample Collection process
The procedure for taking the samples for the KnowYourDog Genetic & Breed Test is simple and painless for your dog. You will receive a kit with the necessary materials to perform a buccal swab. For successful swabbing, carefully follow the sample collection instructions included in the kit.
